CPC Committee of CEC Held the First Meeting in 2022 studying the documents of the 2022 National NPC and CPPCC Sessions

March 24, 2022 /CEC/ - On March 23, 2022, Yang Kun, the Executive President of China Electricity Council (CEC), presided over the First Meeting of the Central Group of Theoretical Learning of the CPC Committee of CEC in 2022, which focused on the important speeches made by the General Secretary Xi Jinping during the National NPC and CPPCC Sessions. Xia Zhong, Yu Chongde, Hao Yingjie and Yu Feng from the CEC management team and more than 30 delegates including the secretaries of each party branch as well as the main principals of various departments, directly affiliated organizations and associations under CEC administration participated in the Meeting.

It was pointed out at the Meeting that General Secretary Xi Jinping delivered a series of important speeches during the National NPC and CPPCC Sessions. From the perspective of the strategic development of the Communist Party of China and the country, Xi made an in-depth analysis of the international and domestic situation, and made the important conclusions such as the "Five Necessary Paths" and "Five Strategic Conditions" etc. Moreover, the content of Xi’s speeches put forward clear requirements on important issues such as coordinating epidemic prevention, economic and social development, energy security, carbon peak and carbon neutrality, rural revitalization, people's livelihood work, and party governance. 

At the Meeting, it was also stressed that the government work report made by Premier Li Keqiang comprehensively reviewed the major achievements made in China's economic and social development in 2021, put forward the overall requirements, policy orientation and nine tasks of this year's work, which was of great guiding significance to the work of CEC.
