On September 29, "Belt and Road" Clean Energy Development Forum was opened in Xining. With the theme of "Energy Revolution, Clean Demonstration, Co-construction and Sharing, and Green Electricity Special Zone", the forum aims to discuss the clean energy development and help to build Qinghai into a national clean energy demonstration province. Party Secretary of Qinghai Provincial Committee, Wang Jianjun, Chief Supervisor of National Energy Administration, Li Ye, General Manager of State Grid Corporation of China, Xin Baoan, Chairman of Three Gorges Group, Lei Mingshan, Vice Chairman of China Energy Research Society, Wang Yumin, AIIB Vice President Sir Danny Alexander delivered speeches. Yang Kun, Executive President of China Electricity Council, was invited to attend the forum.
During the forum, the Qinghai-Henan DC grid connection ceremony was held, Green Power Alliance of the "Belt and Road" Clean Energy Development was formed. Three sub-forums were held during the event with the themes of "Belt and Road" Green Energy Cooperation, Clean Energy and Energy Storage Technology Research, and Clean Heating Development respectively.
