Grid-side electrochemical energy storage power station with the largest single capacity in the world was successfully put into operation

Recently, the grid-side electrochemical energy storage power station with the largest single capacity in the world--Jiangsu Kunshan energy storage power station, which was invested and built by Pinggao group and assessed by Electric Power Development & Research Institute of China Electricity Council, was successfully connected to the grid and put into operation successfully.

The construction scale of the Kunshan Energy Storage Power Station is 110.88 MW/193.6 MWh, with a total of 88 sets of prefabricated cabin-type energy storage batteries, all of which use lithium iron phosphate batteries, and are connected to the 35kV side of Kunshan 220kV substation by four circuit 35kV lines. 

During the assessment process, CEC Electric Power Development Research Institute summarized the design experience of electrochemical energy storage power stations in Hunan, Henan, Xinjiang and other places, analyzed and demonstrated technical schemes such as functional positioning and access system mode of energy storage power stations, so as to improve the safety level of battery operation.
