Daily output at Three Gorges Dam hits 180 million kWh

Daily output at the Three Gorges Dam hit 180 million kWh on February 25 as the country‘s biggest hydropower station ramps up production to help with the operation orchestrated by the national power grid as part of efforts to fight against the epidemic.

On February 24, the dam contributed more than 10 GW output to the national power grid, hitting the highest level since the Spring Festival.

The Three Gorges Dam has conducted a total of 668 peak load regulating operations, or 20 operations per day on average, since the Spring Festival, effectively meeting the needs of the national power grid and providing high-quality clean power to support the battle against the epidemic and the gradual resumption of work and production in its services areas.
