Meerwind, an offshore wind farm with majority owned by China Three Gorges Corporation (CTG), set a record monthly power sales of 153 million kWh in January 2020 since its operation, marking a good start for meeting its 2020 production target under the premise of production safety.
CTG purchased an 80 percent stake in WindMW, the operator of Meerwind, in July 2016. Over the past years, the 288MW wind farm has maintained "zero accident" record with average annual power sales standing at 1.2 billion kWh and equivalent full-load power generation exceeding 4,250 hours.
The average availability of wind turbines has maintained at above 97.5 percent, ranking the top among offshore wind farms powered by the same type of turbines.
