More than 100,000 farmers and herdsmen will be predicted to have stable power supply

17th September, the depth of the mountains of more than 140 kilometers east of Maqin County, Qinghai Province, and the construction of the pole-connected line of the power grid extension project of Yehecha Village in Lajia Town have been fully completed.  Construction workers can be seen everywhere, and they are making final preparations for grid connection.

In 2018, State Grid Qinghai Electric Power Company actively fulfilled the social responsibility, and implemented five off-grid photovoltaic power supply township extension power construction projects in Yushu and Guoluo. Up to now, the extension and electrification projects of 5 townships have been fully started, and 104,400 farmers and herdsmen will achieve stable electricity consumption before the end of the year.

In 2018, the State Grid Qinghai Electric Power Company launched a three-year plan of action to support poverty alleviation in poverty-stricken areas, focusing on solving the weak links and key problems in the development of village-level power grids in poverty-stricken areas, such as low voltage and unreasonable grid structure, which will benefit 49,000 households and 190,000 people in 283 villages. Up to now, the project has completed 51.1% of the overall progress. By 2020, the Qinghai power grid will extend to towns and administrative villages to the maximum extent, with coverage rates of 98% and 89% respectively, enabling residents in deep poverty-stricken areas to shift from "using electricity" to "using electricity well".
