World's Largest Integrated Solar-Hydro Power Station Longyangxia II Project under Construction
Longyangxia II 530MW solar-hydro station, the world's largest integrated solar-hydro power station, began full-scale construction in the Gonghe PV Industrial Park on August 30.
Longyangxia II is the second solar-hydro project after Longyangxia I. It will cover an area of 11.24 km2 and will connect the Longyangxia hydro station at the voltage level of 330KV. Longyangxia II station will be divided to nine power districts. After the operation, it is expected to supply 824GWh green-power to the northwestern grid. It is expected to save 263.3 thousand ton standard coal, reduce 795 thousand ton CO2 emissions, 69.3 ton CO emissions, 3051.3 ton NO2 emissions, and 3571.2 ton dust emissions every year.
Meanwhile, the construction of the plant will improve the development of the local economy.
