Vinh Tan 1 Power Plant Sets a Daily Record Generating Capacity This Year

Hanoi - On May 17, the daily generating capacity of Vinh Tan 1 Power reached 29.54 GWh, a new high for this year.

Since May, the power load of Vietnam National Grid kept climbing because of the continuous high temperatures. To meet the needs of peak electrical power consumption, senior managers of the Vinh Tan 1 Power Plant took strategic measures to improve the facilities’ daily generating capacity. With intensified reporting and solid hands-on management on operation and maintenance of generator sets, the power plant engineers guaranteed the operation of the new China Southern Power Grid equipment and maximized the generating capacity before the start of the annual rainy season.

Concurrently, Vinh Tan 1 Power Plant strengthened the review of all management and control of potential risks and dangers. To ensure stable operation, senior managers of the power plant scoured and listed the on-site potential risks for safe production and clarified the responsibility of each post, personnel and, perhaps most important, the time necessary to complete each task.
