130th Canton Fair Opens
China Southern Power Grid Implements Top-level Power Supply Tasks

Workers, wearing mobile inspection devices of distribution networks - for the first time - are about to inspect the electrical corridors and distribution rooms around the many Canton Fair venues.
Guangzhou - On October 14, the 130th China Import and Export Fair opened to thousands of domestic and international visitors.
China Southern Power Grid was responsible for implementing top-level power supply tasks and made every effort to ensure the safe and reliable supply of electricity both online and offline business activities of the Canton Fair.
On the day of the official opening of the Fair, relevant leaders of CSG were on duty in the Company's emergency operation center.
This 2021 edition of the Canton Fair, which was held in both online and offline formats for the first time, is a major international economic and trade event held twice per annum in China … now in the context of routine COVID-19 epidemic control.
As per the standard of top-level power supply tasks, CSG engineers and staff carried out hazard identification, special inspection of lines, advance supervision and inspection and made careful arrangements for power dispatching and emergency duty mechanism.
These power supply efforts involved 40 activity sites and 249 epidemic prevention sites.
Under the principle of "ensuring power supplies to the operation of offline core venues, digital infrastructure and online public services," the Guangdong Power Grid Corporation also expanded the scope of its power supplies from traditional offline venues to a large number of facilities and equipment that operate 24 hours a day, such as telecommunication data centers and important machine rooms for information and data transmission.
At present, the Company has assigned 2,100 power supply engineers and staff to undertake equipment operation and maintenance, quality services for customers, network information security, power facilities assurance, emergency response and power supply assurance for epidemic control … with a view to ensuring safe and stable grid operation and power supplies to the many major sites of the Canton Fair.
