China Huaneng Group Co., Ltd. Ranks No. 289 among Fortune 500 Companies

On the evening of July 19th (Beijing time), the Fortune Magazine released the 2018 Fortune Global 500 list. China Huaneng Group Co., Ltd. ranks No. 289 with operating revenue of 38.872 billion US Dollars.

In 2017, China Huaneng Group Co., Ltd. forged ahead with determination, and took solid steps to lead the industry in major operating indicators. The cumulative power output of the year was 660.8TWh, among which, 649.6TWh was from domestic power generation, realizing a year-on-year increase of 6.4%. The net coal consumption rate is 300.11 g/KWh, with a year-on-year decrease of 2.24 g/KWh.

The total operating revenue of the top 500 companies gains a slight increase, reaching 30 trillion US Dollars, with net profits increasing to 1.9 trillion US Dollars. The top five on the list are Walmart, State Grid, Sinopec, CNPC, and Royal Dutch Shell. SPIC, Huadian, and Datang are all on the list, ranking No. 395, No. 397, and No. 468, respectively. Increasing for 15 consecutive years, the number of Chinese enterprises on the list reaches 120 this year, which is close to that of the US (126).
