On October 26, Datang Shantou Nan'ao Lemen I Offshore Wind Power project, the first batch of offshore wind power demonstration projects in eastern Guangdong, started construction.
Datang Shantou Nan'ao Lemen I Offshore Wind Power Project is the first offshore wind power project in Shantou. Located near Lemen Islands in the southern waters of Nan'ao County, Shantou City, Guangdong Province, the project has a total planned installed capacity of 245MW and total estimated investment about 5.1 billion yuan. After completion, it will bring good economic and social benefits by generating 750 million kWh, saving 260,000 tons standard coal and reducing carbon dioxide emissions by 433,000 tons annually.
