On August 8, China Longyuan Electric Power Group Corporation signed an agreement with a Lithuanian energy company on acquisition of a wind power project in Yuzhny, Ukraine.
With a planned capacity of 76,000 kilowatts, the wind power project began construction in the second half of this year, and its annual power generation can meet the electricity needs of more than 5,000 local households.
Europe is one of the first regions in the world to develop renewable energy, as well as one of the most active markets for renewable energy in the world. The Yuzhny project is China Energy’s first greenfield wind power project invested overseas since its establishment and the first investment project in Europe, with milestone significance.
