Longyuan Power’s 50 MW Wind Power Project in Guizhou Approved

The 50 MW wind power project at Yaozhan Wind Farm Phase II in Weining County, Guizhou Province, operated by Guizhou Branch of Longyuan Power under China Energy, was approved on February 24.

Located on the borders between Yaozhan, Mazha and Caohai towns, the project features a promising future, given that the area abounds in wind resources and boasts a favorable grid connection condition. With a planned installed capacity of 50 MW, it will consist of 10 wind turbines, each with an installed capacity of 5 MW. It has been listed among Guizhou’s major engineering projects in 2022. When completed, the project is expected to transmit 115 million kWh of clean electricity to the grid, and its annual operating time will reach 2,299 hours. Compared with coal-fired power project of the same size, it can save 35,100 tons of standard coal and reduce 96,600 tons of carbon dioxide emissions each year, thus achieving remarkable environmental, economic and social benefits and accelerating the high-quality development of the local energy industry.
