China Energy’s Daily Power Generation Hits Record

On December 15, China Energy’s full-caliber power generation was 3.58 billion kWh, including 3.08 billion kWh of thermal power generation, both setting a record in single-day power generation throughout the year. As of that day, the group generated power totaling 928.05 billion kWh, up 0.9 percent year-on-year, catching up with scheduled progress for the first time this year since the epidemic broke out in February.

Since the beginning of December, following the requirements of the parent company and focusing on their own yearly goals, all the power subsidiaries have made active efforts to adapt to the new situation of deepened reform in the power market, strengthen power marketing, explore power market, and strive for relevant policy support. In the meantime, the companies have worked to ensure responsibility fulfillment at all levels through institutional guarantee and early and efficient operation of generators through “daily monitoring, weekly notification and monthly benchmarking” in light of power demand. All the power subsidiaries have constantly enhanced safety awareness and strengthened benchmarking-based management, with remarkable results achieved in increasing power generation. At present, 12 of the subsidiaries including Yunnan, Sichuan, Daduhe, Zhejiang and Fujian companies have achieved the goals in their annual power generation plans ahead of schedule, laying a solid foundation for the group company’s accomplishment of its annual target.
