Zhejiang Branch’s 63 Photovoltaic Projects Put into Operation in 2021 for Energy Upgrading

By December 31, 2021, with the grid-connected power generation of the 3 MW Rongbang Home project in Shaoxing, the 1.6 MW Marisa project in Changshan, among others, a total of 70 photovoltaic projects had been launched by Zhejiang Branch of China Energy in 2021, with a capacity of 372,700 kilowatts. Of these, 63 had been put into operation, with a capacity of 287,500 kilowatts. The group’s new energy construction target of the year has been fulfilled.

Zhejiang Province is located in the economically developed southeastern coastal area of China, with scarce land available, so it is difficult to develop large-scale projects. In 2021, Zhejiang Company vigorously developed new energy sources from scratch to blaze a new trail. The company set up a new energy business, implemented the responsibility guarantee mechanism in the areas of respective managers, and defined the growth priorities. This new business specializes in strengthening distributed photovoltaic development, in-plant photovoltaic development and centralized photovoltaic resource reserve outside the plant and building an operation and maintenance framework system to ensure stable operation of the project in the later period. It has completed China Energy’s first 13.35 MW project built at the starting point of the China Railway Express—Yiwu Highway Port, the Zheshitong 12 MW photovoltaic project promoted across county-level localities, the 11.6 MW photovoltaic project in Chen’ao Village, an important part of Wenzhou Ouhaiyuan grid-charge-storage integrated demonstration project, and the Wanma 20 MW photovoltaic and shared energy storage demonstration project in cooperation with Wanma Holdings. With these projects, the company can generates an additional average of 290 million kWh of electricity per year, saving about 90,000 tons of standard coal.
