An exhibition of the award-winning pictures about the China Three Gorges Corporation (CTG)-owned Baihetan dam, one of the world’s largest hydropower stations under construction, was recently held at the Baihetan Engineering Construction Management Center.
The organizer of the 1st “Baihetan Cup” Photography Competition received more than 1,000 entries from photography enthusiasts among builders at the Baihetan Project and residents living in the reservoir area.
Covering themes such as the construction of the Baihetan Project, relocation of residents and eco-protection in the reservoir area, these selected photos capture the grandeur of the project and beautiful environment of the reservoir area, recording endeavors and sacrifices made by both the builders and relocated residents.
