Suapiti hydropower project in Guinea, built by China Three Gorges Corp. (CTG), completed placement of concrete at its No.19 dam section to a height of 215.5 meters on March 9, making it the first section that finishes concrete placement that saves time for the dam’s scheduled formal sluice storage in early July this year.
The Suapiti plant will be put into operation in 2020. The main civil construction is scheduled to be completed in the first half of the year. Concrete placements have entered the final stages at each section. The intake section is scheduled to complete placement by the end of March, followed by the installation of the gantry crane.
