Another important milestone in the modernization of the Ilha Solteira HPP: on the last 30th, the modernization of generating GU20 was fully concluded and the GU has returned to generate energy for the National Interconnected System (SIN), said by CTG Brazil.
In face of the pandemic and many challenges, this achievement becomes even more relevant, as it is a result of the dedication of all the professionals involved. The modernization project, which also includes Jupiá HPP, is the largest in progress in Brazil, with an investment forecast of R$ 3 billion over 10 years.
The delivery of GU20 is part of the second phase of the project, which is being carried out by CTG Brasil in partnership with suppliers including GE, Harbin Electric Machinery Company Limited, Power China, SEPCO I and WEG.
