Gezhouba hydropower station, operated by China Yangtze Power Co., Ltd., a listed arm of China Three Gorges Corporation (CTG), held an award ceremony for its outstanding power generators at the production site on the morning of February 18.
With continued improvement in generator operation, maintenance and management, the plant set a new record in annual power generation, the number of consecutive safe production days, and the maximum operating hours of a single unit. With working time of 8,689 hours and just 3 days of "rest" throughout the year, the No.6 unit, the undisputed distinguished unit, achieved the longest annual running time for a singe generator since the commissioning of the plant.
