The carrying capacity of Three Gorges ship locks totaled 101 million tons by the end of September this year, an increase of 6.6% year-on-year. The figure is expected to reach a new record in 2018.
From February 19 to March 24, a 33-day scheduled overhaul of south line ship locks in Three Gorges Dam was carried out. At the same time, CTG also coordinated and implemented the water replenishment in the dry season and the controlled flow discharge during the flood season, and adopted a series of techniques and management measures to further extend the navigation potential of the ship lock.
