China Three Gorges Corporation (CTG) announced that it has successfully commissioned a home-made 13-MW typhoon-proof offshore wind turbine at its Fujian Three Gorges Offshore Wind Power International Industrial Park on February 22.
Commissioning of the Asia's largest operating wind turbine by capacity and by impeller diameter will drive the upgrading of China's wind power industry, and promote the development of domestic large-scale lifting equipment, installation and operation and maintenance. It will also lead China's offshore wind power sector to achieve new breakthroughs.
