On December 15, grout curtains were installed at the first level of Wudongde Dam at 81-meter high. Wudongde Dam is the world's thinnest double curvature arch dam with a height of 300m. It has 15 sections with 14 transverse joints. Grout was in-jected into the dam to fill the cavities so that the dam is resilient and transports stress from water to the embankment when put into operation. Therefore, grouting plays an important role in ensuring the dam’s safe operation in the long term.
