The main structure of Baishui Lake sewage treatment plant, part of China Three Gorges Corporation’s (CTG) Yangtze River protection project was completed on October 31 as the last piece of concrete was poured, five days ahead of schedule.
In order to conserve land resources, the plant adopts a semi-buried structure with one basement level and two levels aboveground. The main structure, which covers 3,000 m2, began construction on May 1. The plant has a daily sewage treatment capacity of 15,000 tons.
