Uzbekistan Sirdarya 1,500MW CCGT Independent Power Project starts main installation

Undertaken by Energy China's China Gezhouba Group, the Uzbekistan Sirdarya 1,500MW CCGT Independent Power Project had its first steel structure equipment hoisted recently, marking the start of the main installation of the project.

With the most advanced class 9H units, the project is the largest one among its kind in the country. 

The project uses the gas turbine with the world's highest combustion temperature, largest single power and highest efficiency. 

It also adopts a "zero discharge of wastewater" scheme. After completion, the project can provide more than 36 million kWh of electricity to the local power grid every day, benefiting millions of residents.
